Clinical Pastoral Education 
at SECC

We are proud to offer an ACPE-certified Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program in collaboration with the Center for Integrative Pastoral Practice and the United Methodist Church.
This CPE program is specifically designed for pastors and campus chaplains. It features an in-parish CPE unit, allowing you to complete your clinical hours by visiting church members or engaging with university students, faculty, and staff.

Class Details

  • Dates: October 13, 2024 – March 23, 2025
  • Format: Zoom and limited in-person classes
  • Schedule: One group session per week
  • Certification: ACPE Certified
  • Cost: $3,500 + $50 application fee (funding available)

Keith W. Wakefield, a Seventh-day Adventist licensed minister and an ACPE Certified Educator, lives with his wife and young son in Southern California, where the coastal breeze and waves' whispers reflect endless possibilities.
His journey spans faith, academia, and service, dedicating countless hours at patients' bedsides and in classrooms to foster deep listening skills and meaningful connections. Keith's work extends from bustling hospital halls to serene hospice sanctuaries, easing human suffering with compassion.
Beyond this work, he crafts documentaries and publications exploring the human spirit and spiritual care, bridging faith and empathy.
